On any given day, you’ll find me surrounded with green. Our wedding dishes were (still are) green, so my morning cup of decaf is sipped from a soothing green mug. And I love to fill my plate with a pop of fresh, green basil or arugula and iced matcha in the afternoons. Green is hopeful—it represents growth, flourishing, prosperity and optimism. 🌿🥝🫒🦚🪴
Being in nature is calming—in fact, if I’m outside, I am more present. In nature, I can press pause on the mountain of responsibilities and soak in the memories. My brain shifts to the beautiful moment at hand!
Even if it’s only for a few moments, like our routine morning walk with the dog, or longer hours of berry picking, nature literally shifts the brain out of “fight or flight” mode, so your body has a chance to rejuvenate. Nature is the best reset button!
Bring nature inside with these beautiful green additions to your daily rhythms.
Ingredient Spotlight
Manuka Oil
natural, restorative, healing
Manuka oil is harvested from the leaves and twigs of the New Zealand Mānuka Tree and prized for its healing, cleansing and anti-inflammatory properties. Whether it’s soothing burns or “owies” or rubbing a few drops on my little’s chests at night, this oil is such a gift from Mother Nature.
Color Edit: Nourish with Green
add joy + nourishment to your day with these green favorites!
Green Foods / detoxifying, cleansing, clearing, rebuilding, protective (high in antioxidants which defend the cells).
leafy greens: arugula, kale, chard, collard greens, romaine, radicchio
herbs: basil, cilantro, parsley, oregano, rosemary, thyme, dill, sage
superfoods: sprouts, microgreens, chlorella, spirulina, functional mushrooms
fruits: kiwi, green apples, pears, honeydew, lime, green papaya
Manuka Green Botanical Serum / Truly the dreamiest facial serum, your skin will glow and you’ll love the scent. Is it just me or do so many facial serums stink? This one elevates your skincare routine. Apply a few drops day or night before moisturizing. The blend of Kawakawa, manuka oil, algae and blue tansy makes for a robust delivery of anti-inflammatory and antioxidants straight into your skin to soothe, refine and glow. Add in a few minutes of gua sha for an extra glow up!
Mind Bloom Functional Mushrooms / I’ve never tried a holistic supplement and been SO impressed…truly stand by that statement 1000%. Since I’m not doing a “brown edit” I put this in green due to the sage and earthy color of mushrooms. This unique bend of GC sage (hey green), full spectrum lion's mane and cordyceps help focus the brain, decrease mental fog, boost energy (without caffeine) and protect the brain from stress and damage. The best way to describe the difference is the gift of presence—whatever moment you are in, you are all in. Whether it’s working, playing with your kids, having a conversation with a friend or tackling your home projects, you are fully in that moment. The other day, I was at the pool with my 3 littles, after a few hours I noticed I had been playing, laughing and loving every moment with them. I wasn’t overwhelmed by the responsibility of 3 active littles in a pool or overstimulated by their questions…better yet, my mind hadn’t even wandered to laundry or email or clients or work projects. Presence is a GIFT. 🍄🟫🤍
Ceremonial Matcha / I always joke, if you think matcha tastes like grass, you are drinking bad matcha! This creamy matcha helps keep your brain energized and focused without spiking your blood sugar and cortisol like coffee does. L-theanine is a powerful amino acid, found only in matcha, that boosts mental focus and restores adrenal function, so you’ll have energy and sleep great. Service it iced with rose cold foam. Please and thank you.
Artichoke Suede Louis Clog / I’ve had my eye on these for a while and I can’t wait for cooler temps. I mean to look down and see that beautiful color?! Nature on your feet right there.
Sprout Daily Jogger / My favorite workout pants for years now, the quality is so good and they are very flattering. I love that you can dress them up with loafers and a sweater for an elevated, on-the-go daily look. This luscious green color is dreamy and will energize your days.
Plant + Greens Vanilla Protein Powder / A protein powder filled with real food ingredients, adaptogens, greens and probiotics, taste is so pure and natural, not chalky and you’ll feel so energized. Sadly most protein powders on the market are highly processed and synthetic! My 3 year old begs daily for his “green drink”. Blend with almond milk, ice, frozen mango, yogurt, coconut butter, nut butter, chia seeds and top with Bee Pollen.
Manuka Essential Oil /A natural medicine cabinet must have—calms burns and sunburns, spot treats blemishes or breakouts, soothes coughs and congestion and purifies the air. It has a light botanical, natural scent to it that is so refreshing—my children ask me to diffuse this or put a few drops on their chest almost daily. When you need it, you’ll want it.
Methodology / Ok this food delivery service feels like a personal chef is cooking for you. I love that they have SO many veggies, nourishing herbs and spices and high quality animal proteins too. I feel like most food delivery services prep items that I could easily do myself, like rice or pasta, but Methodology easily packs 20+ ingredients into their meals to leave you energized. Their food is nutrient dense, no fluff or filler ingredients. And it tastes AMAZING! The mini drawers full of truffles are my favorites, SO fun. This is for sure worth the investment. Veggie hack to eat more / I’m not a “meal prepper”...that honestly stresses me out, but I have challenged myself to eat veggies twice a day and that is something that I can commit to. Plus it’s a fun challenge! I’ve found that if I prep—wash, cut, store or roast—all my veggies as soon as I get home from the store, I will actually eat them daily. Otherwise, they will end up wasted in the trash. My other favorite way to get more veggies in is to buy healthy, pre-made sauces like tzatziki or pesto or chimichurri to serve with my veggies. It makes eating your vegetables so much more fun and tasty—when you add fun, you are more likely to do it on repeat!
Plants to diffuse radiation / Cactus, snake plants or aloe all help diffuse radiation. Place a little succulent in front of your computer to combat the effects of technology. Being around green plants also calms cortisol and regulates your stress hormones—I mean aren’t you just happier around flowers and plants? I joke that my $10 investment in Trader Joe’s flowers is a weekly dose of therapy!
Positano Stripe Shirt Dress / I ordered this in the green stripe and truly haven’t stopped wearing it. I think I’m now more inclined to do laundry just so I can wear my dress again. I’m not one for having many clothes, but when I find something I love, I’ll be wearing it for a decade at least. I’m already anticipating cooler temps in fall and pairing this with loafers and a sweater. Truly a dress that you will feel YOU wearing.
