In the midst of our move last month, once we got to our new house in Virginia, I *accidentally* got in to a rhythm of these 3 simple additions. Despite the fatigue and overwhelm that comes with a move, I noticed such a shift in how I felt, my digestion, my energy, my mental capacity, and even my skin(!!!).
^ That last one was the most unexpected!
I thought, well if I can commit to these simple additions and crave them, in the midst of a season that is FULL, then I certainly can challenge you too!
Think of this like an accountability group this summer! We can cheer each other on and watch a shift in real time.
When you realize feeling healthy isn’t about restriction, weight, calories or intense workouts—it’s about more sleep, more joy, more chocolate, more nervous system support and more healthy rhythms to anticipate!

1. Movement
Move your body in a way you love—that lifts your spirits, brain and body. Move daily in a way that brings you joy. The rhythmic motion of exercise can re-wire + rejuvenate your brain to boost joy and decrease anxious thoughts.
Exercise (for me!) is so much more about the mental benefits than the physical! 🏃🏼♀️✨
Every time I intentionally move my body, I quickly feel like a different person—more calm, refreshed, patient and level headed.
In fact, a recent study done in 2023 [published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine by Dr Ben Singh] shows that exercise can be 1.5 times more effective than medication at relieving anxiety, depression and stress. 🙌🏻
Challenge: Move your body intentionally, in a way you love for at least 15 minutes per day.
2. Fresh Vegetables 2x daily
As a mom this is the hardest for me to do—this step has taken the most dedication BUT I have been challenging myself to eat fresh vegetables with at least 2 meals a day and seen such a shift in my energy, digestion and skin.
Living in Mississippi (adored our friends!) was hard though because there just was not much fresh foods to buy or eat. Since our move, we all have been inhaling fresh fruits and vegetables!!
Here’s my secret! Right after coming home from the grocery store, I have to get everything washed, prepped, cut or roasted…or else…I have learned the hard way, it will go to waste.
🍓Berries + fruit gets washed—I always store mine with a paper towel so it doesn't mold.
🌿Toppings for salads, like green onions or radishes, get chopped and stored in a Weck jar immediately.
🥕And then everything else I roast on a big sheet pan. I have been loving topping all the veggies with feta crumbles, kalamata olives and fresh basil. I literally could eat this combo by the bowl-full!
🥗Grab a fun, real food ingredient (watch for junky oils, sugars or preservatives) sauce or dip to elevate your veggies. This is my secret to gourmet, easy meals that are SO fun. Some of my favs lately are…
Tzatziki (refrigerator section), tabbouleh, or hummus
Yai’s Thai
Pesto, olive tapenade, feta crumbles or whipped feta
French onion dip—I make a batch weekly because my kids love to dip veggies in it
This way I can grab-and-go and have nourishing, colorful options readily available!
Challenge: Vegetables 2 x daily.
3. Daily Hemp Wellness
A consistent hemp wellness routines gives your nervous system a “hug” and increases your body’s capacity to heal, have energy, process emotions and thrive. With this addition, your brain and body work FOR you.
Most of us in 2024 are in constant fight or flight—our brains and our bodies feel fear, whether we consciously know this or not. In this state of stress or fear, our body prioritizes and “shuts down” other systems like rational thought, digestion, hormone balance or detox.
Sooo…short answer—all the best protocols in the world won’t do much unless the nervous system is in a place of capacity and balance to receive it!
Let’s turn that overwhelm into overFLOW. Overwhelm is your body’s signal that it needs support, it is not you being a failure. When your body is in a state of capacity and your endocannabinoid system is balanced, your body (and brain) can handle the stressors with more ease.

Check in—week 1: ok, I have noticed such a shift in my afternoon energy when I focus more on veggies with a bit of protein rather than carbs at the noon meal. It's so easy to just each my kids leftovers or cheese and crackers but when I add in something green, my afternoon energy is way better!
How much tart cherry juice do you use for yourself as an adult? I know you said 1/4 cup for kids.
