Overwhelm, “mom rage” or just snapping are common, yes, but are they normal? Is it something we have to just accept and deal with. YES and no, no you do not have to just accept it will dictate your life, let’s do something about it.
Let’s be honest and say that most women today struggle with this. And much of that is due to the stress of modern times, not necessarily anything you are doing wrong.
Say that again. You aren’t doing anything wrong. I know I am hard on myself, and maybe you are too, so take a load off right now. This is something I love explaining to women because we need to hear this. Your overwhelm and your reaction to that overwhelm has a reason.
Overwhelm is one of your body’s beautiful built-in defense mechanisms.
Your body’s most important job is to keep you alive. What keeps you alive? Your heart beating and lungs breathing. The rest? It’s not actually essential for staying alive.
